This came packed tight and tight. Assembly took 30 min. Works well and light can be dimmed. Would buy it again.I love this mirror's size for the price. In retrospect I wish it were a "smart" mirror because I like a warmer rather than cool light, and these LEDs are definitely on the cooler side of white. Because it's hard-wired, I haven't installed it yet, but I attached it to a plug and verified that it works. Unlike other users I find the light pretty bright, and reckon I'll be using it on the dimmer setting for the most part, in conjunction with warmer overhead lights.My first order of this mirror was broken upon arrival (I could hear the pieces rattling around in the box). I've been slowly working on a makeover of the guest bathroom upstairs and the mirror was one of my pain points, but I was nervous about tackling this with one that lights up. I didn't pay enough attention to notice that this one was meant to be hardwired in, but I had no desire to try and run wires around the corner to be able to wire it. So instead, I added a 2 prong plug and it works perfectly! I did cut a channel in the frame with my rotary tool, as you can see in one of my pictures, so that the cord could run to the outside while still allowing the mirror to sit flush. If you are hardwiring it directly behind the mirror, this would not be necessary.The mirror was very well packed. I love that the French cleats are already attached to the back of the mirror. Hanging the actual mirror is very easy however, I did have to create my own template. The booklet that came with it said to use the included template, however I did not get one. I contacted the seller thru Amazon, and they responded very quickly, were very apologetic, and included a file of the template as well as pictures. Having a digital file didn't do me much good tho, so I traced the mirror onto paper, cut it out, and measured where the attached cleat was, and where the wall mounted cleat needed to go, so that I could visualize exactly where I wanted to drill into my wall. The do include anchors and screws, but I chose to use a Molly bolt for one of the screws, and I got lucky that there were studs for the other 2. The mirror is heavy, but even without studs, I think 3 Molly bolts would hold it up just fine! Once the wall cleat was installed, just lift it, and place it. It was so easy! You do get a little slack to nudge it left or right for the perfect placement.The cord wasn't quite long enough for me to run it straight down to the back of the sink and over and back up to the outlet, but I did cover the cord with a channel and paint it to match the wall, and the flowers I keep in that corner hide it quite well. The mirror comes on quickly, doesn't flicker, and its easy to dim and then brighten back up. I haven't had an opportunity to try out the defogging feature yet. If I don't come back and update, assume it works well! I did notice that it only covers a portion of the mirror, but its the part right in the middle at eye level, so I'm expecting it to be just fine. I did notice, after it was hung, that there is one imperfection in the mirror, its circled in the photograph, but I'm surprised I even noticed it, and I asked my boyfriend if he saw it, and he couldn't even find it, so I'm not the least bit worried about it. I probably wouldn't have even bothered with an exchange if I'd noticed it right out of the box. Its maybe 1/2" long at the most. Overall I'm very happy, both with the mirror and with how prompt the seller responded when contacted. I will definitely be adding 3 more to the other bathrooms!I much prefer the mounting system of this mirror rather than the pocket holes of others. This way you only need to ensure that the receiving end on the wall is straight and you are set. The power cable of this mirror also projects parallel to the wall rather than perpendicular which means it will not offset the mirror or require the electrical box to be directly at the power point.The packaging does get everywhere and in some places is fused to the mirror. No idea how that happens but it's impossible to get off. The power cables are two small gauge wires and can be connected via outlet, live power, of switch. I plan to do live power in an electrical box. The touch buttons are blue, like most of these mirrors and allow for dimming and power controls. This mirror only has one light setting but can be dimmed by pressing and holding the power button. It takes some practice to get it in the middle of high and low intensity. You have to hold, wait for it to start to change and quickly release where you want the intensity. Then hold again to bring it back to full brightness.There is no backlight on this mirror, only front facing LEDs. This should be installed on conjunction with ceiling or vanity lights, because it is not bright enough to light the entire bathroom. I will always want this to be brighter, but have no real complaints with the product. The mirror has no issues and the LEDs project enough light for close up viewing.I installed this mirror by myself. It was really easy to install. The mirror is heavy so I went and purchased different drywall screw pieces to hold the mirror up. When I used the plastic drywall screw pieces the mirror did not hold and almost fell off the wall. I really like that I can dim the lights and the anti fog setting on the mirror.The mirror looks great, the only thing I have to do now is get an outlet installed above the mirror. I do not like the look of the wire plugged into the outlet on the next wall.
